Hello from the Hammer
Hey all... Well my first discovery of this site / group was meeting a few of you just by chance in Minden oh so many years ago... I was just then starting a semi-painful transition from Suzuki offroad life to my Nissan... I bought a 2003 Frontier Crew-Cab (Yello if ya didn't guess by the name) and was slowly getting rid of my beloved Suzukis. Just happened to be going through Minden when a whole line of up Xterras and Frontiers pull into the Subway. Like Suzuki owners, I knew you folks would be nice and more than interested in chatting. Kinda lost touch on the site after a short time because of my insane work schedule, but still see my fellow Nissan lovers around the city / province thinkin I have to get back there and go have some fun.
Well, so here I am. Sold my last Suzuki parts last spring, and starting to get the itch again with my Frontier. It needs to grow up
The Suzukis I had (Samauri, 4dr Sidekick) were unstoppable in most realms offroad, but more and more it wasn't doing so well on the road. I couldn't stand the highway driving among other 'lacking in power' kind of problems. Plus, I can fit a whole Suzuki in parts in the back of my Frontier (yes, I did it, 2008 Calabogie Suzuki rally - engine, transmissions, axles the whole 9) ... But I've always loved this frontier... even in it's older stages - so i'm excited to see what you guys are doin here and get some ideas on where to start with my truck. Had it 6 yrs, and it's already seen it's share of offroading, but i'm really sick of hearing that transfer case crossmember scrapin on rocks.
Got lots of time on the trails, but not so much under a Nissan's suspension and drivetrain. Lookin forward to chatting, maybe some offroadin' some day soon!

Re: Hello from the Hammer
Thanks guys.... Glad to be here and to be a contributor to the 'yellow' population haha. I wasn't sure I'd like the yellow when I first bought it, but I love it. Oddly enough people can still see right through it though - anyone else been hit by a blind person with a license? haha
