You can't tell me you stand out more then some of the Jeeps down there with 100% of the tire sticking out past the fender (or lack there of)
I think its time to change my trucks name from Pepsi to FrankenPepsi
Just picked up an Isuzu Rodeo Dana 44 for the rear. And a Spartan locker so I can move the Spool to the rear... TRACTION!!!!

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Ordered plugs, coolant temp sender, oil pressure sender, intake plenum gasket, gas tank lock ring seal kit, cv joint boot kit, fuel filter, new front rancho shocks. My steering enhancement package also shipped finally.
Also bought new rad hoses (all) and ordered new accessory belts.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Pathy needed some love today.
Changed oil/filter, general under carriage inspection. Pulled all wheels, adjusted rear brake shoes, lubed caliper sliders. I lowered the spare tire for the first time since buying the rig in 2007. Lowered fine as I had greased the bejebus out of the chain . Added air to teh tire (it was at 11psi ) after wrestling the valve stem cap off which was stuck by corrosion . Greased the the valve stem threads to prevent that and put it back up under the truck. Then quick vacuum and bath and I wiped all the door seals dry so they wouldn't freeze.
I have to say a power antenna is this climate seems useless, always getting stuck up or down or both.
Next up is I need to swap the LF sway bar end link to eliminate a clunk.

Changes the the FL swaybar end link today. What a pita. For the record, I recommend the OE link vs. the one I got from PartSource.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Boosted battery, added a litre of oil, pumped up the tires and backed it out of the garage for the first time since October. Nice drive, if a little drafty. Took it to a mechanic friend to have it checked over. Probably needs a new main seal, oil pan and maybe a clutch. The old rig is going to need some serious work before wheeling season. Looking forward to hitting the trails when they open!
A bad day wheeling is always better than a good day at the office...

Broke down....limped home, checked plugs/wires/cap/rotor. I took the internal CPS cover off in the distributor, saw all kinds of metal shavings. Ordered a distributor. Now I wait.
I couldn't believe how many metal shavings were in there. It was pretty crunchy.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Yeah Mike. I ordered from RockAuto. $260 for a brand new unit, shipped, to my door, including all taxes and duties. No core charge.
Napa that you directed me to wanted $503 + tax and core. I didn't speak to Al though, as he was out at the time.
Anyways, truck is running, idle is smoother and there seems to be better low end power. Thanks for the consult Mike!

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Bought another "rig". 2000 Ford F-150 SuperCab, 4x4, 5.4L (260hp, 350ft-lb), auto, white, with little rust and an ARE hard tonneau cover. This ones for Will, he's 17 and heading to the military / college in the fall. Trucks his, plates are his and insurance is his....so is the fuel bill. Very happy with the truck and everything it means to him.
Cummins - Zone, BD, AFE, Yokohama, Bestop, Access, VisonX, H&S

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Finally, FINALLY did my full suspension.
- SLR UCA's (ball joint spacers don't work with the SLR's, FYI, not enough camber adjustment with them)
- Low profile bump stops
- SwayAway torsion bars (by the way of removing the crossmember and unseizing the old ones)
- New camber bolts (oh the fun of removing the old ones)
- Front Rancho 9000's already installed this summer
- Rebuild leaf packs with military-wrap and removing the overload leaf (one leaf ended up being broken on the drivers side)
- Revolver rear shackles (had to cut the one PML shackle because the bolt was completely siezed and the exhaust was in the way)
- Reinstalled the rear RS9000XL shocks. We initially blew them out from installing them prior to the lift, and because of the Skidders moving the mount up, they were toast after a week. Has a broke an eyelet off of of my used Snafu shocks during my Xmas leave and been driving like that since.
- Turn one of the Skidderz shock mount bolt holes into a stud since the threads were messed.
- Alignment
Still do deal with:
- Center link bushings
- Passenger side lower ball joint
- HD tie rod adjusters
- Idler Arm Brace
- ABS light since the lift (damaged the wiring maybe from torching the camber bolts)
- Power Steering Pump (while adding a cooler)

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Been a pretty quiet winter for me and my pathy. Had to tighten a leaking tranny line but that is it. Been in and out of the hospital a couple times so no mods installed yet.
Yesterday I finally fixed my hatch struts though. I bought new ones in florida last year but on one side the captive nut snapped off inside the hatch. I found a flange nut of the same thread, and it fit snug in the hole. Then I put a few spot welds on it. Finally I don't need the broom handle to hold my tailgate up lol.
I bought 2 new CV axles as I noticed the inner boot torn on one side the other day. The drivers side was torn when I bought the truck but hadn't started clicking yet. I will rebuild the one that isn't clicking for a spare with new boots.
