Hello from Montreal
Wantin' to say hi to the fellow Canuck X owners out there.
Anyone from Montreal? Want to go get your truck dirty?
So I finally did it.
Been wanting an Xterra for many years now. Almost bought an '02 a while back before the 2nd gens came out. Then life got in the way.
Pulled the pin on a stock '06 SE. Just got back from picking it up. Today I am a man.
I'm a no frills guy, so it suits me fine... actuall, the SE might be a bit too much luxury for me. (A/C AND Electric windows? Geez, I'm livin' LARGE! What does this button do?)
It'll probably stay stock for a bit... (a bit might be a week or so.. you never know)
but my X is going to pull double duty.
She's going to be my DD, a kid hauler, grocery getter during the week and the machine to pull my gear, boat, etc and get me in the back country on weekends.
Back in the day I used to offroad with a '78 Bronco we jacked 6" with 35" Micky T's. Also had a late 80's Jimmy I did an engine swap in.... then an endless amount of engine mods. Then marriage/house/kids sidtracked the hobbies for a while.
So you see, the seed is there.... but for now I have too many other holes in the ground/water that I shovel money into. But, these things have a way of sneaking up on you... as many of you all know.
Nice to be here and be a part of the community!

Re: Hello from Montreal
Welcome to CNTC!! We used to have a few members from the Montreal area, and we do have a couple from Quebec that stop in from time to time (although I am not certain of their location). As Jayman mentioned, we do have a group of members out in Ottawa, and they're okay people.
Congrats on the Xterra, sounds like you're pretty excited!

Welcome aboard!
If your french isn't too bad, check out http://www.xperience4x4nissan.ca. It's somewhat like a french version of CNTC and you will find quite a few people on there from Montreal and the area...

To lift, or not to lift? What a stupid question...
