I only opened it tonite, I emailed them, I'll call them in the am.
Now my backup plan is to source the 1 missing shock locally, and hopefully one of my suppliers can get rancho for me. Then I have a chance of maybe exchanging the wrong one for the right one.
Even if I can't, I'll just buy the shock and return the wrong one to AC for credit.
I'm hoping the add-a-leafs are simply in a 2nd box that is maybe a day behind this one. The box the body and the supplied suspension lift parts in would never fit a leaf in it, so they either never left, or they're in a 2nd box.
My backup plan for that will be to send the truck to a spring shop next week after the rest of the stuff is installed, and tell them to add a leaf in to make the rear the same height as the front.

It could very well be a separate shipment. I remember when I had ordered all the parts for my new pc, all the guts came one day and I was like WTF where is the case I ordered. The next day it arrived.

ok, working on the backup plan now...
shock should be under control.
Can anyone tell me if the add-a leaf is anything special, or just another leaf? If I have to send it to the spring shop, I will.

It's just another leaf - but arched to add a little lift to the others ! - If you don't get the box - do the local spring shop and get it slightly taller as it may sag after it settles... Plus the tow truck look will be fun for a little while !

Dayum, that is some pretty poor quality control to ship 3/1 shocks like that. Sad really.

That my friend, is a bowl of rooster soup.
When I ordered my SL from AC, the 3-leaf AAL came in the same box as everything else. The box was in piss-poor shape when it showed up at my door, but everything was inside.

So, I spoke to volrick (I think that's how you spell his name)
They had informed me that the torsion bars were on backorder some time ago, what they forgot to mention, it the add-a-leaf's are also on backorder.
The shock was a mis-pic (It's only 1 digit off in part#)
I have already ordered the proper shock from my local NAPA store, and will have it by thursday.
Volrick's suggestion was to install the lift as I have it, without the add-a-leaf's, and his suggestion is due to the rake that the truck already has, that it may turn out to be level anyways.
If I'm happy with the way it sit's, I'm done at that point, and he says he'll credit me for the incorrect shock, as well as the add-a leaf's.
I told him I would just shop from some of the other accessories available, becuase I was eyeing the snorkel, and the nismo cat-back exhaust.
He's calling me back this afternoon to let me know the status of the add-a-leafs and the torsion bars, so....

$&)t that sucks.
Trying to get ready for AW i imagine ----
I have had the multiple boxes delivered on diferent days experience many times.
What woud really piss me off is that they didnt tell you they were in a B/O situation. You are buying Offroad hardware in the middle of the off roading season.
Clearly you will be upset to find out that you dont have all the parts and wont have all the parts until ????
Why not deal with it up front - set a reasonable expectation
instead of setting up even greater dissapointment ?

So, I just got a call from AC, 6pm, not bad, still working on customer service stuff..
Volrick apologized about a dozen times to me.
The aal's will not be produced till some time in september, so I cancelled my order for the aal's. I've already spoken to my local spring shop, and I can fire it over there next week after the lift is installed.
He has also asked me to package up the mis-matched shock, get it weighed, and call him with the details, and he will send me a ups label so it is shipped at his expense.
So that's that...

the x kid wrote: Whoooo, what about the snorkel and cat back?
Didn't order thoose yet.
I had ordered the articulator system, which (for the rear) were simply the shakles, and the AAL.weerd 1 wrote:good job I am still waiting on my T-bars did you order the articulator pack or just the revolver shackels I thought with the art pack you got the the 3 pack Deaver springs but if you just ordered the AAL get it here somewhere and add 2 or 3 depending on height you want and drive the more springs the harsher the drive
I got the shakles, but not the AAL, so I'm just going to get the spring shop to slide a couple extra leaf's in there to level it out.

Nice!
At LEAST they sent you the stuff that was in stock, vs. holding on to everything until all of your bits were ready to ship. You'd still be waiting for everything if that was the case!
