I was just looking at that too! What do you think about those?Rev wrote:I don't know if they ship to Canada, but here http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/s ... hp?t=23350" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I found a thread suggesting that this http://www.compactappliance.com/FP430-C ... s-Freezers" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is a suitable and much cheaper version of an Engel or Arb fridge. They have tried it out and find it works well.

Re: Engel Fridge
I am a bit wary. ARB is tried and true. But this is half price. Then again, even if it draws an extra amp each hour that could be the difference between starting up in the am and a dead battery. The latches look cheap and the guage is on the back side in an ackward place.
I just don't know.

I think you summed it up pretty much. Peace of mind with the ARB.Rev wrote:I am a bit wary. ARB is tried and true. But this is half price. Re: Engel Fridge
For the cost difference, you could also install the dual battery set up?

Re: Engel Fridge
that is well done. But I'm not interested in a battery in the trunk.
I'm leaning to the new Arb 45.
