Leaving this morning to drive down

Well, FINALLY my vacation time is here. I'm leaving about noon to start driving, as I'm waiting for a bud to finish work at noon and he is driving his Jeep down with me, to visit his bro in Ottawa.

As I look out the window, the sky is black, I can hear thunder, and just saw my first flash of lightening, so it looks like a good start to my trip! :squeam:

Anyway, looking forward to starting to see/hang with everyone again for a while, in the next few days!

I have a new cel # now for use when I travel outside of AB and will hav that with me, SO, if anyone needs to reach me starting after noon today until I return here on Sept 5, call me at 780-880-0875.

Looks like the weather will be ok for driving not too sunny and not to much rain except for Regina. Safe trip down! :)

Thanks for the well wishes guys! So far so good. A few side excursions so far making the trip a little longer, including an oil change. In a hotel in The Peg tonight, and on the road again in the morning, to start the scenic leg of the trip, including a stop in SudSbury to see Tim, meet Miner, and get some new (to me) rubber as my stock tires are TOAST!

Kev, you are definately missed this time around, but my bud Mark is tailgating me in his Jeep, heading to see his bro in Ottawa, so at least I have some company.
