Cheers from Ottawa with my Nissan/Datsun "Safari"
Hello everyone, greetings from Ottawa,
Congratulations on the great initiative! It was nice to receive interest (in the form of elegant business card at my windshield) only week after I bought my 2007 nissan /datsun xterra ("Datsun" name is written somewhere in the "papers" of my rig amd I like it cause have sentiment to safari type racing legacy of this vehicle and... Matchbox long ago .
I will try to step in to say it personally at Tim's Horton one Friday.
I drive 2007 champagne like colour Xterra, 140k km, S or SE (not sure, documentation not sure ab. it neither). I am not hardcore offroad'er nor adrenaline seeker (driving is an extreme hobby itself, isn't it?) and like 4x4 potential of my Nissan rather than regularly 'swimming' in mud. However, You may recognize my rig by the sticker Datsun SAFARI in the dashboard, he he.
See you soon I hope!
Cheers,
tomi

Hi, thank you for reply Snafu and carding my xterra - Adam. It was 20 CAD worth but a nice type of ticket, he he (not like the one you get from policemen or p-women).

I'm not sure it was your truck I carded as the one I carded was a first gen. But similar colour. Now that I think of it.

Re: Cheers from Ottawa with my Nissan/Datsun "Safari"
Tom, When I first bought my Xterra,I had no intention to become a off road warrior. This club has a Adventure Weekend on Labour Day. I ended up going and joining the festivities including doing a offload trail,in my stock Xterra. I like the outdoors and actually liked it. You got to go places that you can't get to except by ATV,Hikeing,or a 4x4 vehicle. Maybe a mountain bike could do it. I liked it because it challenges your driving. You are also able to get out to some areas that have not been touched by much. Beautifull nature spots. My wife likes to come also because of the pictures she can take. Lastly,as it has been stated before,I have met a lot of great people hear. Just my 2 cents. Think about trying something new.

x kid, thank you, will think it over
some photos of my rig. I had a dream that I could have one day also an aftermarket front bumper, like ARB (heavyduty for potential collisions with wild animals, and bulletproof windshield so they could not get inside he he).

Hey tomi, good to have you on the forum.
Hope you enjoy your new ride, they're fun trucks!
One thing I notice from your pic there... your lift gate seems to be sagging pretty low. There are replacement struts available, but I can't recall the manufacturer. McMaster... McSomething. Keep that in mind if they give you trouble through the winter.
Also, come out to the Christmas party on Dec 5!!
