New torsion bars and a pair of extended adjustable shackles. Rancho rs 5000's is all you need esp when they're on sale at CT. Some people don't like the extended shackle way of doing it but I ran that in my '02 and it did just fine. The '02/'03 leaf packs are great imo and i even use them in '00. The cost of a big flexi leaf pack is not cheap. Those packs are stout but truly yield the same performance at the end of the day considering the trails most of us do.

'02 with ext shackles. Not a great pic and not maxed out either but you get the idea.

By the way what annoys me about Nissan is the lack of aftermarket support but I guess that's not really Nissan's fault.... Oh yeah, the wimpy ifs and steering set up too lol.

Thanks again. That pic is 4 or 5 years old. Wish I kept the zombie hunting permits off of it lol.

If you have the bucks to throw at a full kit by all means go nuts!

Those tires were Mickey Thompson MTZ 33x12.5x15. I'm sure you've read it before but make sure you upgrade your steering too when you move up in tire size or you'll be busting tie rods and eating up centre links.

What annoys me about my current Nissan is that I don't have any zombie hunting permits on it.....

Not really when you when you have multiple people viewing it repeatedly each time there is a new post. And even the fact this thread is older and still not a lot of substantial criticism.

Not at all, Mike. Every brand has it's pros and cons. Some brands have a lot more cons. A lot more.

Cough GM Cough

But seriously, you're right. Everything has something. Nissan has terrible steering, GM terrible wheel bearings, Dodge with crappy transmissions...Etc. If it works for ya, great.

Oh, yeah, you said it - GM has a lot of issues. I guess that is why a comparable Nissan is often 50% more to purchase.

LOL...didn't know it was that bat :o

It is weird, just not sure why.

Despite the annoyances that every brand has (on my subaru the brakes are finicky and trying to take the intake off to service the throttle body is a nightmare), I love my Nissans.
