Hi guys! new member from essex ont.
Hi, guys!. im from Essex ontario. i picked up a 95 pathy xe about a month ago from TO for $900, its mechanically sound but it needs TLC. looking forward to learning and wrenching etc.

Welcome! I think I saw some of your posts on the facebook group. Another good site for pathy info is npora if you haven't already checked it out.

Is it OBD test or two speed idle?

2spd idle. its failed 5 times. it keeps failing the idle portion.im going to pull it into the garage and clean the intake, iac, make sure there are zero exhaust leaks put a new cat on it, and maybe take some timing out of it for the etest. i have used up both my T stickers already! and no conditional passes when you first transfer a vehicle over in your name. the last test it had a new 02 sensor and was running 4 liters of methyl hydrate mixed with a qaurter tank of gas.Miner wrote:Is it OBD test or two speed idle?

How is your egr valve? There isn't much on these trucks that would stop them from passing. Is the cat original? Make sure all your vacuum hoses are in good shape too.
