I suppose it's time to actually Introduce myself.
Hey everyone.
I've been around various Nissan Forums for years, and I know many of you from other boards. Mainly NPORA. I kind of feel like a stalker on here since this is officially my First post even though I read here very often and joined here for over a couple years ago. At any rate on with the show.
My name is Adam. I'm 33. I'm into just about anything outdoors oriented except perhaps for Farm Yard Beastiality, I tried it but it just wasn't my thing. I discovered some of you back in the SOXC days when I used to live in Minden with my First Pathfinder. A 91. I saw the whole crew heading in for the Rookie Run and stopped in to talk to a few of you at the Gas Station there. I then after went on my first group run to Bob Caygen with some of you and had such a great time that I was immediately Hooked. A while later I ended up moving to Northern Alberta and lived in the freezing cold for just under 3 years. I picked up a second Pathfinder, a 92, out there and then sold both when we decided to move back to Ontario because our Family had grew. We ended up in Chatham, which was much closer to our family who resides in the Niagara Region. Then, a 2nd child came along.
For my 3rd Pathfinder purchase, I had a lot more knowledge and knew more about what I wanted and picked up a 95 SE out of central Florida to avoid the Frame Rot and start fresh with a strong frame. Everything was starting to come together and as soon as I could return to work, the mods would start. That is until my passenger front tire delaminated on the highway while I was between 2 semi trucks and I almost lost my life. You can read the whole story here.
http://npora.ipbhost.com/index.php?show ... ntry409153.
Since that time I've been replacing the whole front suspension and getting everything tight and ready. Which has been a very slow project due to time and financial restraints. BUT, the kids were getting older and I could see the light at the end of the tunnel... That is until we found out we were having our 3rd child. So I did what any other man would do... I went to the garage and grabbed an elastic, some pruning shears and my soldering torch and had a one to one conversation with the fellas that got me into this mess to begin with. They understood my intentions and begged me that they'd leave me alone provided I allow a professional be the one to preform the..... eviction. I thought it over and gave them a break even though they never gave me one.
So the Pathy sat, and sat, and still sits in the garage and I put a bit of time on it here and there. Now that the 3rd has officially been born as of June 25th, The plan is to sell the house and move back to Niagara to get a little assistance from family and friends. The Pathy is almost ready to go and I've been waiting and harassing a few different local companies to weld on some Compression rod bushing cups in my garage but its been 4 weeks and no one has come.
At any rate, hopefully now that we'll be back in the core area I'll be able to make it out to a lot more stuff and get to know you guys a bit better. Not better like the Farm Yard thing mind you but a little more then I know you guys now.
Anyway, instead of' loading a ton of Pics, I'm just going to link my NPORA link to my build, and a couple links to the house listing just in case any of you know someone looking to buy up here.
Oh ya.... And the Colorful post is a one time thing for Nostalgia sake and to celebrate my First official post. Cheers!

Hey Dowser! Good to see you here finally. Can't see the pretty colors because I'm on my phone, but I'll comment on that later.

I always wondered why you didn't post here!
Welcome aboard! Looks like you have the requisite amount of ass-hattery about you.

Re: I suppose it's time to actually Introduce myself.
Thanks for the warm welcomes even though its kind of funny since I know most of you already. hahaha It'll be nice to actually post here now though as over the course of the last few years I've actually been reading here, there's been plenty that I've wanted to say. I just decided that I didn't want to make my first post on some random comment about whatever so between that and 100% Pure Absolute Laziness to start a welcome thread, I've had to keep my mouth shut for years! It's horrible to live this way I tell ya. Just horrible.
What's unfortunate for all of you however, is the fact that I got off my ass and decided to write my first post. Now the dog is unleashed and I'm gonna piss all over this place!

When ya box it up, let me know the cost to ship and what you wanted for it and I'll get that paypal out to ya pronto. I got a ton planned for this rig soon since It has to be up and running VERY soon.adamzan wrote:Welcome! I still have that idler arm for you!

WHOA! Something seems odd in Southern Ontario! First Kermit in London and now Dowser here in Chatham. Sherri!! Throw Keegan in the truck!! WE'RE GETTING OUTTA HERE!!!
Interesting. It shows he's from Chatham and at the beginning of his intro he states "I'm into just about anything outdoors oriented except perhaps for Farm Yard Beastiality" I call this total BS! LOL j/j
Welcome to the boards. Nice to see more folks closer to this end of the province! Rumour has it that Chatham is getting a Nissan dealership actually! ROADTRIP!!!

We hide them during showings.Snafu wrote:Welcome to the club...I see you have room for farm animals at the house
You're RIGHT! they are getting one. Its going to be on Richmond Street. I wish it would have been here the whole time I've been here. We're officially moving first week of August whether the house sells or not. I'll be assigned the WONDERFUL job of commuting back and forth once or twice a week. YAY......... lucky me......... I get to spend 6 hours drive time total travelling back and forth just to go mow a lawn and take care of all the other regular maintenance. Also for showings whenever people want. Can't wait.Nice to see more folks closer to this end of the province! Rumour has it that Chatham is getting a Nissan dealership actually! ROADTRIP!!!
Was wondering when you were going to chime in. I figured you'd appreciate a little color. Thanks for the Congrats. I suppose I'll let you guys know about the new arrival since I haven't put together a formal new arrival post yet. This seems as good a place as any.Pezzy wrote:Beautiful post Dowser, it brought a tear to my eye.
Congrats on baby #3, btw.
Our 3rd baby, our second little girl, was born June 25th weighing in a 7lbs 14 ounces. We were in a dilemma for a name for ages since out of pure coincidence our first 2 kids ended up with M names, so we felt we were obligated to give her one as well and just appear to be crazy rather then have her grow up feeling the outcast. We ended up with Marin Selena. We gave all 3 our kids normal middle names in case they didn't like their first names. Our other 2 kids are named, Maya Kassandra and Magnus Erik
It's been one hell of a ride. Here's a couple photo's of my past Pathfinders.
My First, which I actually named Dowser since it was amazing at finding Water.

My Second which I named poop Box Lemon after driving it for a short time.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s157 ... elemon.jpg
to be fair, it did stand up to a lot of abuse, never got stuck, and got quite a few of these poor suckers out of trouble.
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s157 ... inFord.jpg
And since I'm reminiscing about the past loves of my life I'll post up my best friend of 12 years that I lost on March 4th, 2008. Never has there been a more faithful friend who was always there for me.
Zeus.

And there ya have it.
