When should we expect the first issue?

Not sure, should be soon. I am waiting to hear back from Albert on a couple things. Its only 8 issues per year if I remember correctly.

I was talking to (AL) when he was in rock syder 4X4 shop last monday and he said he hasnt even Started on the AUG issue so if the payments went in you should get the next issue. (AL ) droped by to see jim's shop and he was impressed on the organization , and how clean it was .I dont know if he took pics for the mag but my truck was on the hoist.

The next issue will have a somewhat comprehensive article on Winching techniques . Plus a buyers guide for winch purchasing and some tit bits on the Warn Ti and the new Ramsey model amongst others. Hopefully there will be some good solid basics for understanding the force created by diffent situations and the correct set up and use for various winching procedures.And of course a little indepth understanding of the power , amps used at various pull rates under load to help people understand that the no load and max load for amp drawis not the only criteria when looking at various models. I had the pleasure of having lunch with Al last week and he was discussing some of the points he would like to put in the article

The 8 issue rule is actually not always 8 issues per calendar year, the reason is sometimes it takes 13-14 months to get 8 issues out.

But your subscription will still cover 8 full issues before a renewal is required.
