Rhombus v2.0
Well it has been a LONG time since I have posted but I'm finally playing with my truck again .
Most of you would not reconize it right now as it has no stickers (yes none!), no winch, no lights and no skids.
I learned a few things removing this stuff. Putting new stuff on a new truck is easy. Taking said stuff off the truck 9 years later less so. Friggen HUGE pain in the ass. Air gun, tools, big hammers, swearing and 6 hours and I got the stuff off the front of the X.
Why am I doing all this? Well it is time to paint the X as I have rust creeping in and all the armor is rusted. I said that when I need to paint the X I would go with a camo pattern as it is something that I could do myself. Well after more thought I think that I will be just going with a flat military green. It will still have the black hood and I will add other accents to have fun with it. I will be getting stuff from here http://www.militarystencils.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for stickers/markings (yes I need some). I might also be pulling out the carpet and rhino liner the inside to make it easy to clean etc.
I will also be getting all the armor blasted and then painting it with rhino liner or something cheap. Since I do not 4x4 anymore and we are doing reno to the house I do not have a play fund to support this. I need to do this on the cheap but still want it to look decent.
The main goal is to have a utility truck up here when we need it.
I will grab some pics along the way and post them back here.
Nice to be back

Good to see you back, Jaimie! For military green, search for 01r50's members rig page. HE just did the same, and my have some tips for you.

Wow! Look what the cat dragged in! I would have thought you would have got rid of the X by now.

Hey Jaimie,
Glad to hear you still have your X as well. Not sure I believe the part about no stickers though

Re: Rhombus v2.0
Hey guys thanks for the welcome back. I have been hiding up at Basecamp and working my ass off.
Stickers:
Hard to believe but the truck is in transition. No stickers, lights, winch, armour (other than ARB). The new stickers will go on the ATV and storage till I get done with the paint job.
Bender:
Have you learned to work without mangling your hand yet (d'oh) The X will be staying with us a long long time.
