Need some input - Maybe selling my truck

So yeah - I'm half thinking about selling my truck. My question, what should I ask for it? I know it seems like a pretty simple thing to decide, but, what would be reasonable to you guys? I know I will not get much $ back for modifications.

2000 Xterra
- Auto
- 147xxxkm
- Silver
- ARB front bumper
- BB rear with tire carrier
- BB sliders
- 3" Rancho lift
- 2" PA BL
- 33x12.5 BFG MT's
- L&P steering
- Warn hubs
- New brakes front and rear
- Timing belt and such done last yr.

Look up user Cobrastrike. He went through the de-modding process to sell his rig IIRC, he might have some good input on if that is worth while or to leave the mods in place.

You wouldn't get much for modified truck. Best bet to convert it back to as stock as possible, and sell the mod parts.
Message Rev, as he is shopping for rear bumper. I' pretty sure some members here will buy some of your modified parts and may be give you their stock to put into your truck.

I second what Alex wrote above. Having just sold my X, I can tell you you're not going to get nearly what all the mods are worth. I wouldn't even say half. The only way would be if you found an avid wheeler who really wanted the specific mods you put on.
I found holding a de-mod day worked well. You can usually count on a few members coming out to help, and you can get fair value for most of the mods, and you'll still end up with close to what you'd get if you sold it with everything on.

Find a way to keep the truck to wheel with when you can. I completely understand your desire to buy a WRX or STi. I think about it all the time myself! Go buy an older one or a Japenese RHD model (cheap) and benefit from both worlds! You only live once my friend!

i'd give ya around $7k. better to get rid of it in one piece, but I see lots of vultures circling. maybe they can trade you cash and stock parts in exchange for your mods. then trade it in on your new fart can you and bender can always TB with me. i'm coming in to see you soon, we'll talk then

Thanks guys. As much as l would like to take it down back to stock and give you guys some sweet deals on bumpers and such, I don't think I would go that route. Like I said (and it sucks) I do know I wouldn't get much to anything for the mods.

Nothing is official. I might keep it, who knows. This is more or less a feeler then anything.

I would be one of those vultures if you decide to dismantle your mods. More than willing to donate stock parts for a fair price on your stuff...if you decide to go that route that is.
