Canadian sliders

Post by Rev »

Ok folks, so now that I have my new meats I need sliders, skids and a lift.

For the skids I am hopeing that my father can fab me some. If that works out I'm good to go there.

As for a lift I'm thinking of 2" spacers in the front and taking it to a spring shop and getting a few extra leaves in the back for 2-3"

This leaves me with sliders. I can order from shrockworks, but they are expensive, especially after one adds shipping to the order. There are some other cheaper alternatives in the US, but then again one has to have them shipped.

So my question is: Do you folks have some insider knowledge of a good place to purchase sliders in Ontario? Any help is appreciated.

I don't think that Jay has made any for the Nex X's yet though...

Nothing like a Guinea pig to start adding to your list of items you can make, right Jay!

I also beat all others for making sliders for the 05 Frontys!

And yes I did sliders for Mudhogs 05 X, but not the way they should have been made, but to customers orders.

I stand corrected on the "no love for the NEW X" statement!

Jay is the fabricator extrordinaire, he could build anything, I swear.

Yes sir!

While we're sorta on the subject of fabrication, and I know this has been brought up over on NPORA, but do you guys fab skid plates as well? I ripped off my Ultra-Heavy-Duty factory plastic skid plate last year in some mud. (I am assuming Nissan didn't intend on that plastic actually being used as a skid plate :confuse: )

I have an SE, so I don't even have a factory skid, but from what I hear the factory skidplate on the 2nd gen X is pretty sad.

Need to get these things going for the warm weather. :happydance:

I am also looking for sliders... I have checked the one at rocky-road.com... It looks really nice and all that, but the total cost (Item + Shipping + Conversion to CA$) is so expensive...

Pezzy, if I'm not mistaken, you have a custom-built rock sliders, right? And I assume our pathfinders use the same sliders? Where did you get it make? Was it expensive?

Thanks...
