OOooh, KM2s, nice. jealous
Serviced all four calipers on the Z today as well as a front end grease. I see one of the original upper ball-joints has a ripped boot. Nice.

Calipers pads and rotors stripped from the Maxima donor car. Calipers serviced, rotors buffed, and installed on the Maxima project car. Also removed bug deflector, "patched" flex pipe, checked codes, replaced wipers, started on rust projects, and cleaned up the filler neck on the project car.
Swapped the snow tires too. Lots of snow in the forecast, almost forgot it was march when looking at the weather network.

Met my parents in Kingston for the weekend + Monday. Did the usual stop at PA and picked up some lights for the roof and some 0/1 gauge disconnects and a 7-pin trailer harness that I'll install in the new bumper.

Put my 33's back on. Forgot about the wobble they cause. Really need to get those tire beads soon.

Oil changed and Ambient Air Temperature Sensor replaced in the V70, now I need to get all the readiness checks to go "ready" for the e-test.
Order placed to Rock Auto for the Maxima, Y / Flex Pipe, Rotors and Pads, ABS Sensor, and associated hardware. Turns out my truck and trailer / heave mechanic soon to be brother in law got a little carried away cleaning up the rotors... 3 of 4 will not pass safety.

Ordered HD clutch kit from Marlin Crawler along with short shifter. New shifter & transfer case knobs on their way along with Grant steering wheel. Xmas in March.
Now waiting on warmer weather to start taking the clutch apart.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Yeah turns out that there are more differences between the 2001 and the 2003 than we would have thought. 3.0l vs 3.5l, Auto vs Manual... interior changes, headlights are different, cats and exhaust are different, abs sensors are different...Jayman wrote:Doh!Miner wrote:Oil changed and Ambient Air Temperature Sensor replaced in the V70, now I need to get all the readiness checks to go "ready" for the e-test.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
New rotors and pads, replaced wheel speed sensor to clear all the ABS faults, with an oil change on the 01 Maxima. Decided to have the shop tackle the Y-Pipe / Flex Pipe with the front ball joints and the safety. I figured the shop would have an better go at it and it would save time... now they're swamped and it will be Wednesday or Thursday... we just can't win with this car.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
New wheel bearings....again. Seems I got some aftermarket ones and they (the wire in both) broke in the same spot. All is good and 4x4 working again. Thanks again for the diognostic.
