Greased the sliders on all 4 calipers, rotated the tires, greased the front end, new air filter and a quick wash. Fueled and ready for AW (knock on wood)!

It's custom made by Ted himself I believe.
True. I helped a little bit by drawing the parts in CAD, getting a couple of the plates made via a friend and weld supervising (aka drinking beer  ). That was a fun project, wish we could do another.
Yup, about 4 years ago, Bow_Tied and I successfully turned $20 worth of schedule 40 pipe into that bumper over the course of a few evenings. -- When he says he helped a little bit, he's being more than a bit modest. Ron's involvement made that project a success.

Question: has anyone ever added a throttle body spacer on their 3.3L? Wondering if they actually provide any actual gains in torque or if it's just a waste of $100.

I'd like to get some extra grunt in the low end so that I can pull a trailer down the 400 series highways without any tires.

That would certainly be a challenge to get traction. :teeth:

You could make a prototype out of plywood to see if it helped. I doubt you'd notice it but I haven't tried it.

VK56 Swap!

I don't think mine did anything. I would consider an Airaid intake though, really impressed with mine.

If I had the skillz to pull off a VK56 swap, or the money, or knew if it would even fit.... then I'd be in for sure! :teeth:

Headers dude. I pulled a trailer with canoes and kayaks plus all the gear for camping and for the first time ever accelerated up a hill in the highway.

Mileage sits at about 14L/100km. Great lower end torque. Massive difference. Skip the 100 dollar thing and put it into headers.

Looks good Fronty. Where did you get the bastard?

Since you (Medic) didn't make it to AW I thought yuo sold your X.

Tore the front and p-fender off the X to straighten out the metal bent by the deer. Not a bad job for a ball-peen hammer. I need to list the plastic bits that also got shattered (more than just the headlight assembly was broken). Pics on FB.

While I was in there I coated rust spots with etching primer, rustoleum semi-gloss and then with rubberised rock guard.

It was on Autotrader and Kijiji, had a few great offers, but the purchase of the new house vacuumed all my finances and couldn't buy the new one. I wanted to pay more than 50% and finance the rest, but alas, we all need more money.

I'm glad I kept the X. I was going to buy the GLK250 BluTec, but now I'm leaning more towards the Ford Explorer. Who knows. I figured I have a year or two to save and research. :teeth:

In the past few days including the weekend I have had the gas tank, CV shafts, shocks, upper ball joints, and new upper control arms changed. I just need to replace my sway bar links, and exchange my defective radiator and I will be ready for the fall colours trip. Oh, and I need to get beads installed in my 33s. If I don't get that done in time I will be rocking the 31s.

That frontier looks great!

New power steering leak, I guess that is what happens when your truck sits for weeks at a time. Luckily it is just a low pressure side hose with clamps.
