When you were hammering away at the back of the T-bar, was the front still attached?

For future reference (I know, it's a little late now...), to get that front anchor off, once you have undone the front anchor, you can put some washers up against the front of the T-bar (inside the front of the anchor), and then tighten the front anchor back down. This will push the T-bar out of the anchor... You may have to do this progressively, as too many washers at the beginning will not allow you to get the treads started on the bolts.

Why is it always about the length of your pipe? :teeth:

Yes, you got it. The one we were cutting was the old broken tbar just to get the flange. The theory was the other one would serve as a spare.

That is a neat idea, drawing the bar out of the flange. I would worry that if you broke a bolt doing that it would be a pita - I don't think you can replace those bolts without removing the LCA?

That of course, is a very real possibility, breaking a bolt trying to push the T-bar out. You'd have to be really reefing on the bolts to get them to snap though.

And yes, it would be a PITA fixing that, as I'm pretty sure you'd have to pull the LCA to get it out.

This is why I don't let anyone who doesn't have a truck...or multiple trucks...of their own drive my truck.

People have asked to borrow her, they normally realize their mistake before I verbalize a response :stickwack:

The bumpers are fairly pliable, a 8' 2"x4" and a decent pry-bar should get it back into shape. The trim piece under the headlight may be hard to find, try wreckers. Mirror might not be hard to locate. I would hope you could get it 90%, or better, for less then your insurance deductible.

Looks good rev!

Finally figured out why I could never set my timing properly. Turns out my distributor rotor shaft can turn independently of the gear that drives it at the bottom. I moved it to where I could time it but I am going to buy a new one anyways because it will just vibrate out of time again.

After that I stared at it for a while, contemplated installing my 3" sus lift from the old pathy, this one just has a PML...Not sure if I want to run the 33's or not, kinda like having some power and a correct speedo lol.
