USA stuff
Going to the States shopping tonight/tomorrow.
Anything I should look at that is US exclusive or cheap there? Anything from truck stuff to tech stuff.
Post it up.

Careful on the car seats, they may not be legal in Canada.

They are not legal here. Which sucks, they are way cheaper, but because they don't have the Canadian stamp of approval (on the identical seat they sell here) they are not legal.

Motor oil (and probably other auto fluids) are sometimes half the price. Mobil1 5w30 is $56.99 at CT here, and at advance auto in ogdensburg it is $23.99.

A really nice pair of RayBans. I'm usually an Oakley guy. But I liked them a lot. I buy one good pair every 4-6 years. I have a pair of Oakleys that are 15 years old.the x kid wrote:GLASSES! Prescription?

Ouch. Not legal or not approved? $219 in Canada vs $139 in the US for the same seat, I couldn't resistPezzy wrote:Bow_Tied wrote:Careful on the car seats, they may not be legal in Canada.

I was told you could be fined for not using an approved seat. Different laws here on the construction requirements. I can't see that it would ever be a real issue unless you were in a seat inspection blitz where they pull everyone over; they sometimes do this as part of seatbelt blitzes I think.

Miner: x2 What Bow_tied said. If they don't have the Canadian approval sticker on them, and you are pulled over and checked, I believe the fine can be pretty hefty.
