Re: Horn
You may have water in it... that was often the issue with the "kazoo" horns on the older Xterras.

You can likely take it off fairly easily and let the water run out of it.
I remember going through loads of horns with my old X. Toyota horn is mounted on the firewall of the truck

Re: Horn
The guy who used to own my truck would remove the horn and attach it to the end of a drill, spin-cycle for a minute ot two, then reattach horn to truck. This unusual, but apparently "it works" method, might help in the future.
I never really use the horn. My grandpa always said, "While you're busy honking the horn you could probably be doing something better." But horns are important, and I thought the stock system was a poor excuse for getting anyone's attention. Now I have a pseudo air horn system on the yellow beast. It's quite loud, but it really doesn't get much use. The last time I used it Bender was trying to hide in front of the grill - he was having a bowel movement - when I unleasehed the twin horns at the poor guy . It scared the pee right out of him

Re: Horn
Well I have to try that trick with horn on my X, cause since couple of weeks it sounds... let's just say... freaky?
