Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Heard some clunking over uneven roads and going into parking lots, could feel it in the floor. Had a look underneath and this is what I found:
The other side looks mint but I'm going to replace both sides.
Excuse the surface rust. Going to wire wheel and treat that with POR15 when it gets warmer.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Also today I picked up new manifold gaskets to replace the copper rtv i had to throw in there because no one could get me the gaskets same day :O
Also got a new o2 sensor bung so I can start fabbing up my exhaust from the headers back. Not sure what I'm going to do for muffler but I do like the sound of the magnaflow on my friends VR6. I don't want super loud but a little roar when you put your foot into it is nice. Cat will be a magnaflow hi-flow.

Use COM16 instead. Is the exact same thing as POR15, but is made in Canada and is a hell of a lot cheaper.adamzan wrote:Excuse the surface rust. Going to wire wheel and treat that with POR15 when it gets warmer.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
I know for sure that NAPA in Smiths Falls sells it. Saw it when i was there yesterday. It is right across from the main counter. They have it in two sizes. They also have the POR if you still want to spend the big money on it.adamzan wrote:Anywhere I can get it locally?
NAPA in Smiths Falls is right after the Wal-Mart on the same side of the street.
Might have it at the NAPA in Kemptville, but I am not sure.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
New UCAs arrived today.... Now to find the time. This weekend is packed with piping stuff (we compete in Toronto on Saturday, and Sunday is Tartan Day in Fergus.) I wonder if I can get them on tomorrow?????
The new UCAs did not come with camber bolts - any info on the proper camber bolt?

Stock camber bolts should work just fine.

Thanks. I only asked b/c the SLR bolts are oblong - the bolts for the ACs apparently are just normal round bolts. So no adjusting the in and out. Hope it all sits good.... Should. Just being a doofus and all concerned.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Both systems use the same bolts. It's the washers that are oblong (eccentric actually), as to allow for the alignment in and out.Geoffrey wrote:Thanks. If you want to get new ones from the dealership, you are looking for what they call a "Transverse link pin" (Nissan schematic PN is 54580). You will need 4 of those, along with 4 of the eccentric discs (Nissan schematic PN 54559)
Link pins: http://www.courtesyparts.com/54580-pin- ... 80363.html
Eccentric discs: http://www.courtesyparts.com/54559-disc ... -1530.html
You could also get new nuts for the link pins as well.
