Overland Journal magazine
Mods,
I didn't know where else to put this, so forgive me if I've selected a poor spot.
Has anyone had a chance to look at this before? I had a chance to look through a few of last year's issues of the Overland Journal magazine this past weekend. What a well-done magazine it is. Very heavy on vehicle-based travel and recreation. It does reviews of trails, gear and equipment, destinations, vehicles, etc.
I plan on ordering this magazine (as well as the Canadian 4WD magazine!) for some entertaining reading (read: dreaming of a trip). Overland Journal is published 5 times a year, and has the types of pictures the British car magazines are known for. You can check out more at:

This is as good a spot for the post as any.
That looks like a cool magazine. I'll have to look into that one as well. Thanks for making us aware of it Derek.

Len, let me know how it is... I got a PDF of their "debut" issue a couple years ago, it looked really interesting!

Re: Overland Journal magazine
Well I got my set in today. I ordered the whole thing plus the subscription. And am I disappointed? No way! It's a great magazine, in fact I may cancel my Land Rover magazine subscription based on the quality of this magazine. A quick view through each one and it is well written articles, not biased towards any one vehicle, however there are more FJ's and Land Rovers represented (even a review on a 1997 NAS D90.....karma or what!). As stated by Derek, it is very vehicle based, and that being 4x4 and motorcycles. They have great equipment reviews and I picked up the 2008 equipment guide which has an article on fitting out a Frontier for family expeditions.
Photojournalists will enjoy it as well as each mag has some section on that.
All in all, a very nice magazine. Excellent quality paper (nothing shiney that produces so much glare you can't read it).
Highly recommended.
