I did the poor man's snorkel on the weekend too, but I ran mine up into the area between the master cylinder and the fender. Kept it all underhood.

I put a screw cap on the end, and put a matching one on the original intake position. Under normal driving, it will pull air from the stock location. When I go offroad, I switch the cap to the stock opening, and it will take air from the snorkel.

Also, today had the driver strut pulled apart (blown strut mount) and found I need a new strut too. Almost worn right through.

Pics to follow.

I rolled down the windows and baked in traffic because my truck started over-heating... I guess having the A/C cranked will do that eh? I guess it's time for some electric high power fans for the Pig.

Went and got an alignment, or had someone get my tires as close to factory specs as my lift kit will allow, and ordered a fan clutch, because mine is shot.

Truck drives nice and straight now!

Fixed my front bumper...I inadvertently ripped it off in a really deep mud hole on Monday. I was by myself, had to scab it back together on the trail to make it back on my 250km journey home from my parents. So I fixed it good enough for the Hydro Line on the 5th, then I'll start my tube bumper!!

Also did a bunch of other stuff on the weekend.

-removed my lightbar and wiring so I can make a new bar for 5 lights and redo the wiring
-painted my custom skids, front diff/oil pan, trans and t case, black
-touched up my rear bumper
-stealthed my grille
-painted the frame rails and some of the underside...my truck is full of dried up mud underneath
-painted the upper rear interior hatch piece black
-cleaned out the center console in preparation for a CB
-realized my e brake shoes are totally worn out...they don't hold ****!
-realized I lost my locking lug key....I'll have the dealer take these 4 off and then I'll replace them with regular style

And after all that I go rip off my bumper in a mud hole...good times.

This was the hole last year...it's an easy foot deeper this year.

LOL @ ^^ Sorry to hear about your truck Tom.

Put new plugs in mine today. That one at the back is a b!@tch!! :fist: Took me an hour alone for that one.

Fought off swarms of hornets or wasps who were intent on calling my trailer hitch home. Okay, well it was only 1 horntet/wasp thing, but he was real persistent.
