Duncan, congrats on the pending purchace.

Make sure the first modification you do is to by-pass the factory transmission cooler in the radiator and put an aftermarket one in.

They have a high failure rate. Also, make sure you check the condition of the transmission fluid before you drive away in the truck. If it looks like a strawberry milkshake, steer clear. If it looks brand new, make sure you take it on at least a 45 minute drive and get the transmission good and hot to make sure there's no pending issues.

Almost 20 years later and they still have problems with the transmission coolers, wow.

Different problem. The rad/cooler cracks and the coolant/tranny fluid mixes. Ugly scene.

It is now Official i am a Nissan Xterra Owner.
The Snorkels have not been priced yet as i have yet to figure out my costs for shipping / Dutys/ agent fees etc but a couple of things i can say are first . I looked at the Quality / components for the ARB and i was not impressed these Snorkels are also sold by Ironman in Australia and the plastic is beeter as are the fittings compared to ARB .
As for price , I always price my products lower than you can get comparible items from anywhere including the US
The prices will be in the region of $250 - $ 275

I ended up getting a 2005 S model with the 4.0L
I took a little time this morning trying to figure out what tyres i want on it. For practical purposes i should put a AT tyre on but i am torn between that and just putting a MT on in a 265 75 16 as i know there are no clearence issues with this size or going to the 285 -33" tyre and figuring out the Melt thing. I will leave the tyre issue untill after the weekend and give it some more thought.
That is actually the easy choice I am not sure what Winch i want on it . After getting it and looking it over i want a minimum 10.000lb on it and i am leaning towards the Sabre XD ( it gives me 10.400lb and then the adjustable overload kicks in) It will definately be a Sabre Series on it when i started looking it was with the 2000 - 2004 models and i had planned on the S9 ( 9400lb )for it but the 2005 model is heavier.
BUT having said all this the TW12 is still a perfect choice for most applications .
