That is already spoken for by me along with pointing out the obvious ... however dropping tools and eating most of the donuts are still available. Of course making stupid remarks and getting gear oil on your crotch have no quota, so that is open to anyone.

I'll take eating most of the donuts ! :happydance:

If you are not getting here until the afternoon, you will be most likely responsible for eating the donuts no one else wanted.

Sounds like a good bunch is showing up. See you all tomorrow. Hope you all realize that we are not done until it is finished... :P:

Pete,

I'm sorry man. I have to say that I'm pretty much going to do all of the aforementioned activities. And that's only because it is in my nature, it's nothing personal. I'm actually looking forward to watching Rod ruin any positive relationships you may have developed with your neighbours over the years. See, I've already covered off on the stupid comments portion of the event.

Your truck's going to look great buddy!!!

The lift is not going to prevent me from bonking the truck of stuff on the trails, it will just be bigger stuff.

I don't think Rod can do anything that will make the relationship with my neighbors worse; they need help.

I'll be slightly late tomorrow, maybe I'll be there around 11. I need to get an alignment done first thing in the morning, I have clocked in about 500 km this week. I know you guys probably asked me not to go to Montreal without alignment after the lift, but I've clocked in the same distance by going to school, hahaha...

It was a good day. Thanks to everyone who showed up and lent a hand.

Got the rear done, got the front UCA's in and replaced the entire steering assembly (pitman, idler, centerlink, tie rods).

The camber bolts fought us, but we managed to get one out without cutting, and the rest were at the mercy of the sawzall.

Only thing left is the torsion bars. They are frozen in the adjusters and front mounts. We got the one out of the front mount, but the back is still frozen in place. We didn't even attempt the other side, other than taking the tension off of it. Anyone got any tips for removing the torsion bars from the adjusters?

Those torsion bars are coming out one way or another tomorrow.

Spray them down with fluid film/PB for a few days, then use a vice grip or something similar to clamp on the t-bar and hammer the vice grip to get them out of the front anchor.

For the adjuster at the back, use something as a punch, after the lube, to pound it off. Unfortunately, there really isn't an "easy" way, but that will almost always work.

Thanks Pete for the food and the hospitality. Sorry I wasn't much help today for ya. Too many cooks in the kitchen man!!! I'm thinking it will be much easier to give them a really good soak first like Simon suggested. Let that stuff get right in there. I remember a guy once telling me he uses 2/3 diesel fuel and 1/3 tranny fluid for his "home brew" penetrating oil. He may have just been a crack head though.
