Re: Beasty RIP
That didn't last long in your hands...you just got it a few months back didn't you? Well, if you're going to wreck and not get hurt doing it, you did it right; nice rollover. I think I know the area in which you rolled it...doesn't surprise me that no-one stopped.
Let me know if you need a hand with anything.

'96 166k km 5 speed 4x4, AS IS $3500
Has been sitting a while. Last tag: Oct 07
Dead battery, so I did not hear it run.
usual rust in weather strips, bumpers. Front fenders had bubbles in spots around fender flares.
quick look shows quarters decent
Few scratches (seller has dogs)
rust coated most years owner had it (9 years)
door lips on driver side looked very good, didnot open pass side
could not open tailgate, other car parked too close
seller indicated it would need brakes and has an exhaust leak.
The tires are nearly shot. Seller has brand new tires he may part with (Dunlops I think he says).
Interior not bad, could use a clean, some cigarette burns I think.
Seller says new clutch, timing belt and water pump 1 or 1-1/2 years ago.
He has replaced it with a newish Ford King Ranch (he works at Ford plant, got a good deal).
He "wants it gone" but I suspect has not tried real hard to get rid of yet.
undercarriage has been undercoated, hard to see the frame - I took a pic on each side.
HTH,
R

Re: Beasty RIP
FYI....
96= no frame. That's a unibody truck.
Nismojunky, none of your modifications will fit that truck, with the exception of the tires/rims (maybe) after lifting it.

Happy to help. I have a gut feeling he would take 2500 (he didn't say that)... I doubt he would take less, but you never know?Nismojunky wrote:tanks for getting me pictures im going to call him and see whats the lowest he will go i can only afford around 1500 -2000
For leverage on the price tell him you want to come and test drive it. I doubt he wants to go and get a trip permit for it??

Hurts to see her like that, I'll admit I had a bit of a truck crush on Beasty. The 2 door Pathfinders always did it for me and you had done well with her -- In return she did well and protected you. Best of luck with the new truck and I'm glad you're OK.
