Re: ABS Question

Try the self diagnostic test with the data link connector and a jumper wire to see what code you get. It will tell you which side is faulty. Now it could be the sensor, the wiring, the ring gear or the moduale. I have seen issues with all of these items. If it contiues just disconnect the system. At...

Re: Pathy Intermittent Vibration

I would check your tension rods. They are the ones that bolt the rear of the ctrl arm to the frame with bushings. They tend to rot out due to moisture and salt being trapped in between the bushings. I've seen my dads pathy had the same problem, where at highway speeds above 80 it would vibrate like ...

That has also happened to me. I wanted to order permatex ultra slick grease for my IA bushings but they wouldn't ship to Canada. So I had to get it shipped to a US address.

Re: Soft/Low brake pedal and abs light.

Check to see if there is a small leak that is letting in air into the system or leaking out fluid ever so slowly. The leak might be in the rear right side, right above the rear right sway bar link. A month ago I replaced my dads rear brake line that goes over the rear diff and yesterday I replaced h...

Re: Doug Thorley Headers

Well after ripping out the manifolds while doing the head gaskets I noticed the cracks. Not on the passenger side but on the driver side. I actually hear the leak more now coming from the manifold. Hopeflly it holds up for now. The engine runs great other then the fluttering noise from the driver si...

Re: power steering fix needed.

I would check the steering joint in the column. They tend to seize up causing stiff steering.

Re: Flashing Airbag light

There is a spiral cable in the steering wheel. It wraps aound inside the housing of the spiral cable case. It turns a certain amount with your steering wheel and doesnt break. If you dissconnect the column and spin the wheel to any degree and reconnect ther column it snaps the wires int the spiral c...

Re: Doug Thorley Headers

Most likely I will be starting off with the exhaust cat back, once it rotts out or starts to leak a lot. Right now i am at 210,000 km's and the exhaust is looking good for original. As for the 02 sensor wiring its not bad for you to do the work. Make sure you put a good soder on the wires and use th...

Re: Doug Thorley Headers

The only problem with both sets is the cost to install. Once installed you have to remove the cats, install two new ones further down. Remove the second ones and modify the 02 sensor. Which in the end will cost you about $500 bucks on top of the cost of the headers. Now lets just say you want to do ...

Re: Doug Thorley Headers

I did a head job for a customer a while back. I even installed new stock manifolds. His price came up to $6G's. OUCH!!! Luckily the parts for me will be $200 bucks but the the time I have to put in to the job myself is gonna be a killer.

If you have a buddy in the enission test department, ask if you can test out the exhaust to see the readings. I am curious.

So did I. Since I will be doing my head gaskets shortly I was thinking of replacing the manifolds with the performance headers.
