Re: Interior takes forever to warm up - mods for that?
After running the truck for 5-6 minutes, the engine should be fully warmed up. If you get in, and the HVAC is still blowing cold, put your foot on the gas and bring the rpms above 1500 If it starts to blow hot, then you 100% have an airlock in the heater system and will need to bleed the air out of ...

If you're really stuck, a floor mat can work as a max trax in a pinch.the x kid wrote:Thought that in the city. I was in a situation last weekend where I was actually getting high centered in the wet snow. Dug myself out. Could have used some max trax.

Re: Cool Titan setup
I did look into these when I was shopping for an RV. It is surprising, they are significantly more money than a regular travel trailer.

Re: Axle and Leaf Spring
2nd gen can swap spring under axle to spring over axle with a Titan swap and a lift, but as others have said, the 1st Gen front end isn't up to it. The rear is easy to gets lots of lift out of without doing to much. You can buy complete leaf packs, but you can just as easially go to a local spring s...

Re: alternator?
Probably a bad diode in the alternator.
A charging system diagnostic would confirm this.

Re: Shocks too long?
Also double check your swaybar end links.
I've seen them make a bang/rattle noise, even if there isn't any visual play in the ball/socket
If it's coming from the shocks, and they are indeed bottoming out, you will very quickly destroy the valving inside the shock.

Re: Shocks too long?
Maybe I didn't understand exactly what you we're saying
When do you get the noise?
When you're cresting a speed bump - rear suspension unloading or
As you're hitting the speed bump - rear suspension loading?
There is no reason for you to hit the bump stop under normal driving

Re: Shocks too long?
Sounds like they're too short. Take the bottom shock bolts, and lift the back of the truck until the tires lift off the ground. Measure from the top mount on the truck, to the bottom mount on the axle. This is your completely extended length. Next, orient the truck on something to stuff one of the b...

Your best bang for your buck is a local spring shop.
They will add leaves to your existing suspension.

Re: Finding more trail leaders
I'd suggest Weakest Link if you can't find an appropriate filed/pit/quarry. Its short enough to walk it and run it over and over, and there's no trail just a string of obstacles. It could also be done at South Wind in the mud pit and on Razer. I was thinking something a lot closer, something that m...

Re: Finding more trail leaders
The point I think I was trying to make, is that you take newbie drivers down a trail, and show them the different things their truck can do. Trail guide school would be the exact opposite, you go nowhere, you stay in the same field, stop a truck on an obstacle, get out and show people where they nee...

Sounds good.
My thoughts were a newbie run for trail guides.
Could also invite people from of4wd.
Want to get really crazy, and invite some of the vendors to show off recovery equipment...
