Oh, great to know! They even have the tire carrier hinge which I`ll need for another project.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?

Worked on my tires carrier this weekend. Progressing well I`d like to say since I`m making, measuring and adjusting as I go http://i.imgur.com/D28TM9I.jpg http://i.imgur.com/YgoQBfG.jpg http://i.imgur.com/IHqHZKB.jpg It`s maybe 75%-80% there, not including paint. I need to get the right hardware to ...

Re: What rims would look good on my 2001 Xterra?

Their really nice looking rims:) Just to nice for where I'm taking this girl:) I have access to a set if I want them.... True, that's why I've got a few spares ;) Not powdercoated yet of course, and a few are going on the trailer eventually http://i.imgur.com/XDPHXiJ.jpg I don't understand the back...

Re: What rims would look good on my 2001 Xterra?

I don't think you need wider, but that's up to you. You really only need wider if you're going with a larger tire that is wider. The Nismo rims are beautiful, but rare as heck. I've got Frontier Desert Runners powdercoated in black waiting to go on my in spring on 33" tires. They're stock, so s...

Re: What's your first vehicle?

I drove my parents 1990 Mazda 626 (hatch) when I got my G2 in highschool and had it as my every day car when I went to college and worked. Started car shopping one spring since I knew my sister was starting college that fall, and it was only fair to pass her the 626 rather then make her buy a car. I...

Re: P1320

No problem, glad we could help. Ya, that's right. There was was HEAVY foggy day in the spring where I was wet and humid from all the rain. My truck wouldn't start. I cranked and cranked and eventually just got it to smell like fuel and a backfire here and there is the conditions where right. I had t...

Re: P1320

I'd go with coil. On first crank it's having a hard time charging up which is why your first crank it doesn't want to fire. Funny cause your symptom of is balking when driving was what I had for a while, I mean like a good 2 years of weird intermittent issues where it would happen maybe once every f...

The Fast Lane Truck did the Gautlet with the XD and they also had issues with the low payload.

Re: Fingers Still Crossed for Titan Diesel

How much more does the Titan weight over the Ram? That's significant, and pretty damn good mileage honesty. But in all honesty I'm not a Ram/Dodge fan. What they have going for them is their price, features/price and the diesel fuel economy. But it's their build quality and fit and finish that alway...

Re: Nissans in the snow!

While in Petawawa, there was a point that a HUGE storm came in overnight. It was a Sunday, but unfortunately were we were working and up early to start off an exercise. Nothing at all was plowed, and even through we were just privates living in shacks, it was still a HUGE mess on base. Anyway, we we...

Re: Truck Rolls When Parked In Gear

I don't feel it slip at all when driving. I tried WOT a few times, but I need to remember to keep my revs low since I'm still running my rigged up rad fan clutch from AW that I haven't fixed yet. I want to say it's in the motor, but it's ever so slight, but it does give a slight (just slightly more)...

Re: Fingers Still Crossed for Titan Diesel

Honestly, it doesn't seem to be the truck I was expecting/made out it was going to be. There's just too many compromises. It doesn't really properly fit in between for capacity, and I was expecting much more capacity and much better fuel economy. It seems tougher and more luxurious and that's about ...

Re: Truck Rolls When Parked In Gear

Indeed. I don`t notice anything while driving, or even while towing the trailer. It should be really obvious I'd think, but I've never had a slipping clutch before. Ya, good idea, I'll see about getting it compression tested while I'm in Niagara over Xmas

Truck Rolls When Parked In Gear

I've been noticing lately that I can't park my truck on even a slight incline. My parking brake hasn't worked since about last year and being gone, I haven't been around to check it, so I spent the year parking the truck in 1st gear (5-speed). Now I'm noticing that I can't. She rolls ever so slightl...

Re: Winter prep for your rig?

Usually like lubing the winch line and putting a cover on it, and also lubing and covering the mechanism on the Hi-Lift (since it sits on the roof rack). Undercoating if I can. Oh, and swap to my legally required winter tires.

Warranty, that's an improper installation. They kinda can't argue that it's not their fault..
