The Pro Comp 7089s in black look really good on the X and also give a wider stance with the 4.5" BS

Re: Backspaced rims on 05 Xterra OR

I can almost promise they wont or other guys would be running them by now. Even with the spacers you'll have caliper clearance issues on the front. You should contact the manufacturer before you buy because like I said, if they fit, other guys would be running them. I know I would.

FWIW, the breather on my m226 rear end is a one way design....only lets stuff escape

Dunno if the c200 is the same Rev.

Re: Backspaced rims on 05 Xterra OR

You just have to be absolutely sure about those rims fitting. It's not so much the odd bolt pattern or offset issues, it's also caliper clearance that you have to consider. I think there's a reason that there are only a handful of aftermarket rims on 2nd gen Xterras. The most obvious choice for both...

Re: Backspaced rims on 05 Xterra OR

OK yeah sorry I don't know a whole lot about wheel specs. Now I realize that the backspacing is from the inner lip to the mounting surface, so if I want a wider stance, I want less backspacing (less than 4" for 8" rims) (and more neg. offset?) as I understand.. Dark_knight - Any idea what...

Re: Backspaced rims on 05 Xterra OR

I just had 285/75/16 Kumho MTs mounted on my stock 16x7 OR rims with out any issue. Rev has 285/70/17 I believe on stock 17" rims. I think the 5" backspacing combined with 285s will cause serious rub issues. The tires will be pushed way out compared to stock. I have 2" of lift and 285...

Re: 2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R

I owned an 04' Sentra before I got the X and it was a great car. Mind you it was the 1.8L version, it was slow but with a stick it was fun to drive. I didn't have any problems what so ever in the 66k I owned it. FWIW, I think it's an easy fix for those butter fly valve screws in the throttle body. T...

Rev, we'll have to compare our rigs now. I'm weeks away from 285s and I'm also lifted now, we'll be close!!!

Are you really doing a 2" BL?

Re: 2nd Gen Xterra - Diff Lock/VDC Off lights flashing on

Nope, diff cover wasn't leaking. My locker wouldn't engage though, the light would just flash. Now it works as soon as I flip the switch.

Re: Gross Evap leak

I had this in my 04' sentra...I checked all the evap lines and couldn't find anything so I just kept resetting the light. The day I traded the sentra in for the Xterra, I crawled underneath and noticed a dime size hole in the down tube of the exhaust, exiting from the manifold. I would said it was a...

Re: 2nd Gen Xterra - Diff Lock/VDC Off lights flashing on

When I bought my truck used, the Locker never worked, the light would just blink every time I tried to engage it. I just accepted the fact that the locker didn't work and went on with my life. Then driving home from Kitchener one day I get the same thing as you, the Diff lock would come on solid and...

Re: D-Rings on stock bumper

The frame is fully boxed. It's plenty strong and what every aftermarket bumper relies on for mounting. I'll have no problem using it.

Re: D-Rings on stock bumper

That's the machinist in me. 2 of the holes in the mounts are slotted so an endmill was much easier and I would make a complete mess with a torch. Although I do fabricate quite a bit, machining is my trade so I always take that route. As far as putting the bumper on the mill, I came to the conclusion...

Re: D-Rings on stock bumper

They are bolted to the frame and welded to the bumper brackets in behind..it's all one piece now. Super solid.

The d ring mounts are 10" long, 3/4"x2" crs. I machined them to suit the hole patter in the frame and bumper brackets.

D-Rings on stock bumper

Since Nissan neglected to provide and stock rear recovery locations I decided to take matters into my own hands. 3/4" CRS bolted to the frame and welded to the bumper brackets in behind. I machined the slots by putting the bumper on the milling machine for a nice clean look. It also insured I p...

Yeah, flashy SES light means don't mess around and get it fixed. Usually means something more serious when it flashes.

33s fit on the Second Gen without any lift...just some minor melting of the plastic wheel well liner.
