Re: Welcome -- How did you find us??

You should try to come out to one of our events or meets! A lot of the members here are from the gta area or slightly north (like me)

Re: Welcome -- How did you find us??

Welcome MKA!

No pressure about driving a yota. Lots of folks here drive Jeeps, Chevys, etc. Regardless of what you drive, you're welcome to come out to CNTC events. Unfortunately you JUST missed Adventure Weekend this year. Hopefully you can come out to it in 2016!

Re: Different Forums

I looked at a few threads on other sites and found a lot of people will hate on you for trying something different/not sticking with the norm.
It was ridiculous. TheNewX was the best of the other forums, but I like CNTC because everyone is local(ish) and overall a great friendly group.

In addition to this: F***ed my alignment with garbage Moog bolts (I've very bitter about this now lol) Gotta throw another $200 into an alignment with OEM bolts on Tuesday. For now it looks like my X's front tires are collapsing. Thought Moog were supposed to be better? That sucks dude ...

Re: Roof Top Tents

Yeah I've heard about the trailers. I don't see them around base often, but I have seen some parked from time to time.

My neighbour is/was EME, so I could probably talk to him about getting one that's on it's way out. Only problem is I would need actual physical money to purchase it lol.

Re: Roof Top Tents

That's quite the write-up, thanks! I have seen the fronty trailer. Great idea :) I was actually thinking of doing something similar. I have a small boat trailer which I was thinking of turning into a multipurpose trailer by fabricating a removable "Roofrack" system that can bolt onto the f...

Roof Top Tents

Hey guys, Recently I've been pondering the idea of picking up an RTT for camping. Do you have one? What are your impressions of it? Did you pick it up in Canada? Do you think it's worth the investment? I've only seen a couple places who carry/distribute in Canada and if I do get one, would want to a...

Re: Noobie from Ontario

Where to melt. Back side of the front wheel wells. Turn your tire so it's at full turn. Cover the tire with something (cardboard/blanket/etc) Heat via Flamethrower or Heat Gun Push plastic with something (I used a hammer) Don't push too hard 'cause the soft plastic will tear or break. http://i.imgur...

Re: Noobie from Ontario

I know, but I don't think an album can be linked that way :P I did that on purpose so you could see em all.
Now that I think of it, I could've just linked all three separately lol.

There was rubbing while turning, but I did the melt mod and it's perfect now.

Re: Noobie from Ontario

General Grabber AT2s are common enough tires that you should be able to pick one up used to stash under your truck to (probably) never use. As for the size of your current spare, if you have to use it, the computer might object and deprive you all the nannies, but I don't see it being worse than th...

Re: Noobie from Ontario

I would like to see pic's of the Grabbers on. You getting 5 tires? Would a 33 fit in the original spare location? I'll post some pictures this weekend. I got 4, figured the size difference between the 265 and 285 wasn't a big deal. I'll get a matching spare in the future though. From what I hear, a...
