Re: Trailers - Legally, What's Allowed?

I would be willing to bet, that if it doesn't look, or work, like a POS, you'll never have to worry about the legalities. I tow a box trailer, which started life as a snowmobile trailer. Unloaded, it bounces around like crazy. I've never had any issues, and I've been followed by the police on a numb...

Re: As we move into winter...

We have a thread on NPORA called "Self Depreciation Alley" where I've posted a couple of gems over the years. Here's one from 2006..... Entitled: Don't weld sh!t wearing fleece So, I got a welder a few weeks back, and of course, the thought of melting 2 pieces of metal together is the COOL...

Re: 2003 Tire / Wheel size

the 16" wheels from the Pathfinder should fit your X. The only ones where center bore is any issue is the 17" wheels.

Re: Used 2000 Xterra $1,500 OBO thoughts

Aside from the codes, I'd never buy a car that sat for a year. Unless it was started/moved regularly, there's a lot of things that can pop up in that scenario.

Re: Is My Truck F-O-R-D?

That sounds more like a stuck solenoid than a trashed transmission. Is the fluid burnt at all?

Re: Is My Truck F-O-R-D?

$5000? Is that for a new transmission? If not, it sounds high to me. Maybe you could get a rebuilt one cheaper?

Changes to the Admin team

For those who didn't attend AW, and/or to clarify what we announced there.... The time has come for Carri and I to take a step back from the club. We've been slacking in our duties as club admin, and we've only done the bare minimum (if that, at times) to keep things running. We no longer have the t...

You're one of very few in that regard, Drew. Carri missed one or she'd be a 10 year vet.

Premium Member cleanup

Hi All,
Better late than never, I've finally done the purge/re-add of Premium members for 2014. If you have been downgraded in error, please let me know, and I'll investigate ASAP.

Thanks again to all who donated.

It had gotten so outdated yet so customized that the only person who could have ever upgraded it was Jamie.... Who had long passed the torch to Bender and Moe.

Ask for Joe. That'll work I'm sure.

The price changes every time I go in there. Tell them you're with NTC (they've still got our old sticker on the window) and you might get a discount. Or you might now. Regardless...they do good work.

Woodbridge alignment. They don't do appointments. Show up, some mafia affiliated gentlemen work on your truck, you don't ask questions, and you leave with it aligned.

I wouldn't look too much into that. That truck has seen thousands of trails. It was likely a matter of a worn out part that finally failed, than a weak CV. It's a rarity.
