Re: Lift for my X
If you plan on running 33's, plan on steering soon then later. Mine died after my first run out.

Re: Lift for my X
I think the olny thing I would buy for the lift from the States would be the UCA's and shackles. Get your leafs done at a local spring shop, it will save you $$. I know of a few shops in the KW area; thats if you're piecing it together... and shocks you can grab at CT or Partsource. Just find the ri...

Re: Lift for my X
Make sure you go to Nissan and buy cam bolts. There is a 99.9999% chance you will need to cut the old ones out. oh, and also make sure whatever kit you go with comes with new balljoints. If not, you will nedd some of them too.

Re: Lift for my X
Oh, My cost break down:
SL - $1500 ish
BL - $250
Steering - $600 ish
Tires - $1200
Rims - $200 - cheap, bought them from Drew.
New leaf pack (mine died a horrible death) - $500 ish.
Add it up.. it sucks. Its over 4k. This doesn't include all the poop that breaks. food for thought.

Re: Lift for my X
If I had to do it all again... I would save a whole lot of $$. Forget the SL. PML and a 2" BL will fit 33's. IF you just do shackles and turn your torsion bars plus the BL, i'm sure you'll be happy. I've been running my set up for 3 ish years now. I'm on my 4th set of upper ball joints, have to...

Re: Winter
Just to clear it up. I'm not against winter buns. A few years back my GF got stuck 3 times leaving my house. I told her to take my truck that day and I would take her car so she would feel safe (yes, my truck did have the MT's on her ;) ) So off I was... fak. I didn't know how bad her car was in the...

Re: Winter
I think telling someone to stay off the roads with MT's is a little harsh. Its winter, we all need to change our driving habits. I've run my BFG MT's (33x12.5's) for the last three winters. Yeah, they slip... But you just need to slow down and take it easy. If you're going to drive like an asshole, ...

Re: UCA bushings and lower BJ's
So Bigbird sent me a PM about the lower BJ's. He says its the 99's that will fit. I thought they were all tha same (99-04) I can grab ball joints from an 01 for $75 from partsource.... Just need to be sure before I order em.

UCA bushings and lower BJ's
SO I need to replace my Rancho upper control arm bushings and lower ball joints. For the UCA's, I have emailed Rancho about the bushings... I hope to hear back soon. I was looking on the Calmimi site and they sell replacement bushings. Will those suckers fit into my Rancho Arm? And just to make sure...
