Re: Xterra headlight issue

I haven't owned an X bt had similar issues where the connector was intermittently doing it's job. Double check that there are no burnt marks on/near the connector pins. If it isn't that, you're likely going to have to trace the harness back. The only other thing it could be is the DRL module, I thin...

Re: 12 years! EDIT: Almost 15 years

Hey strangers! I may be checking in less frequently but I’m still rocking an Xterra! Time sure flies and this year will mark 19 years I’ve been a member here and owned an xterra. Wow! Anyhow just wanted to say hi and hopefully a few other old timers come lurking here from time to time and will see ...

The service manager at Milton Nissan, Mike, is admin here, I'd recommend you talk with him. He treats members here well.

Re: Vibrating qx4

It would be interesting to try a different set of tires. If no change, I would second guess the driveshaft angles assuming this issue only arose after the lift. You could also seek input on NPORA.

Re: Random Starting problems- 2002 Xterra

The clicking very much sounds like a solenoid issue. I had a car that did this once whenever it was hot - odd to me you'd only notice when cold. I would check all the electrical connections at the starter itself. A load test on the battery might also be worthwhile. If you suspect any previous owner ...

Re: Backup lights on constantly

Did you turn your lights on and see if it lit? Just wondering if the bulb harness got switched.

Mostly on manual trans the switch is a two wire switch that screws into the side of the trans case. You'd have to google your specific model to be sure.

Re: Backup lights on constantly

So they are on all the time, even when your headlights are off? Sounds like a faulty switch, I'd expect it would be mounted to the trans itself. Pull the harness off the switch and see if they go out, if so, I'd guess the switch is bad.

Re: Backup lights on constantly

Has there been any recent work done with a trailer harness? I have seen that do screwy things on different vehicles.

Re: Evans

Yes but, you would never have to change it ever again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If you follow the OE specs, you replace coolant, what, every 60k km? Not many people own a vehicle long enough to add >200k km to the odometer so you are talking about 3, maybe 4 coolant changes in the life of...

Re: Evans

The first thing I read was: Traditional engine coolant is 50% water, but water causes engine corrosion and overheating. WTF? Water causes overheating? Water is pretty well the best coolant there is, from a thermal transfer perspective. Perhaps the imply that straight water will be more likely to cor...
