Re: Welcome Back!!

Not currently. We can see about colorizing this theme to dark shades again. This one was colorized to match the Wordpress style.

Re: What's your first vehicle?

the first car I drove was a 1989 Toyota Corolla. It was mighty, with it's 3 speed automatic. Nothing but brakes and oil changes on that one. This isn't mine, but it looked exactly the same. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/NHZq0cZ6FwJqPLsy_aBE-hi5p9BPfmoeV5uhs7gzb-aHzD-IMux4fQiKsYSkznWzFR1sNE0DX3eZ...

Also, if you log into the forum, and then click the header image, you should see on the main page a link that says "Integrate account" You'll want to do this in order to be logged into the Wordpress site, as well as the forum. This will give you access to the Call Out List and Medical form...

Re: P1320

I had that issue (slight misfire) on 2 separate occasions on my X. One was when the distributor was dying. The other was when one of the plug wires wasn't seated correctly on the plug. Check your dizzy for redish dust under the cap. If you see it, it's likely that the bearing is shot, and the distri...

Re: Seat belts

I'm sure someone has, but the forum was down for 2 days.....likely why there's been no response. As for the seatbelt....funny thing....pull out the seatbelt ALL the way, and see if there's something in there. I once found a penny jammed against the "drum" where the seatbelt wraps, and my s...

Re: rust

I replaced the rocker on the passenger side of my Xterra. I believe you'll find that the rocker is actually 2 piece. The front section will end somewhere near the rear door, and the back section is part of the structure of the body. There's no replacement part from that from Nissan, and will need to...

Re: Loose Steering and Noise

Drop a 5/8" bolt into the pitman arm alone, and see if there's play. It should be relatively snug. I would be inclined to think the hole in the pitman arm is elongated.

Re: Tire thread depth differences

Not sure about the rear diff in the Blazer, but on a limited slip, you want both tires damn near exact in size. Otherwise, there's constant slip on the LSD any time you're rolling. I believe we chatted about a locker of sorts in the rear; but I'm not sure how it'd handle tire size variations, or if ...

Re: Sagging Front Suspension, Recrank Torsion Bars?

Michel, I really don't think this is possible. When the torsion bar slips in the anchor, ALL teeth are ruined simultaneously, and the truck then rests on the bump stops. This isn't like a flywheel or something where only a small portion of the teeth are engaged. Is yours suspension dropped all the w...

Re: Steering

You can get it patched up. I had mine done recently. It cost $285 I believe (I'd have to double check the price). It took them half a day, and they've got a 3 year warranty. So far, so good.

Re: Spring is around the corner! What's your truck prep?

Just did both ball joints on the drivers side of my truck. The passenger side had it's lower replaced a year ago, so I didn't touch it. Need to put skids on both trucks, and finish cleaning up Pezzy's bumpers so they can go on the new truck. Both trucks need a good wash and wax, hopefully I have som...

Re: Spring is around the corner! What's your truck prep?

There's a list of things for the truck. I'm currently about half-way through replacing/remaking lower rocker guards. I've also patched some rust holes that emerged in the rear door. There's some cancer here and there on the truck, and have the metal and bondo to get it back to ship-shape. Just need...

Re: What did you do to your rig today?

You can buy replacement brackets on Rockauto.com. They're like $15US. I assume Nissan can get you the bolts, and/or you can match them at a Bolts + or Brafasco.
