Re: Weird Noise!!!
So no warranty coverage for me. Apparently a suspension lift constitutes modification. I'll argue that with the service manager since the warranty brochure doesn't list anything about modification to suspension as a disqualifier.

Re: Weird Noise!!!
funny, I just started getting the same kind of thing. It's intermittent, sounds like a playing card in the spokes of a bicycle wheel. Seems to come from the rear, but hard to tell. Mine's not RPM related, as it happens most prominently when backing and THEN going forward...reverse is a crackle crack...

Re: A/C High pressure hose leak
He didn't try to loosen off the clamp, ensure the hose was seated properly over the flair and tighten the clamp? Make sure the hose covers the flair in the steel line by about an inch and re-clamp. Replace the existing hose clamp with the kind that tightens with a bolt head, and clamp the hose down ...

Dude, don't let it go. Go all the way to the top if you have to, but the point is you knew enough to notice a problem . The next sucker will drive in, get his oil changed, and some time later the car will need major work. Those clowns are a MENACE. Take your concerns to the top, bro. FYI, I haven't ...

Here is the PS hose assembly.
At the top right of the picture, which is actually the drivers side when installed, you can just make out the clamp I'm talking about.

Re: 2004 Xterra SE ATF leak at Power Steering
some sort of visual reference would be great! :pics: I'll see what I can do, but it's a particularly interesting part to get at. Essentially, the power steering hose assembly has two steel lines that run along the bottom of the radiator. On the passenger side, the two steel lines run into rubber ho...

Re: 2004 Xterra SE ATF leak at Power Steering
Problem I see with that is that the fluid may be building up between the rubber hose and the steel line. As a temporary fix however, I think it will do until I can dump the money on the new assembly. Thanks!

2004 Xterra SE ATF leak at Power Steering
Just a heads up. For the past couple of weeks I've been trying to diagnose a leak in the power steering system. After replacing a couple of hoses, and thinking we'd nailed the leak, it resurfaced. After a tip from John, I examined the steel hoses that run under the radiator. On the left side, on the...

Re: OH MAN!!! What a Day!! HELP
National. Again, just my opinion. Your mileage may vary. As for the AAL, you'll still need some Ubolts and center pins, and if you want to add any additional leafs you'll need to get them made up as well. All I have are the two AAL springs themselves. I wouldn't add too many since doing so will requ...

Re: OH MAN!!! What a Day!! HELP
Prob just a PML. anyone know what National 4x4 charges??? Ok, I don't want to start any kind of pissing match, but....don't do it. We can probably put a PML in your truck in your driveway, if you have the right tools, in about an hour. I actually have an extra set of AAL's sitting in Drew's garage,...

Taking apart the console
The service manual isn't helping. How do I take the center console apart run cables etc without busting all the plastic clips? I assume there's an order of operations here I'm missing.
