Re: Control Arm Bushings
My PRG UCAs used Heim Joints at the frame. No discernible wear in over 100,000 km. There is a downside to them though, there is zero isolation from the frame so you feel everything through them.

Re: 2nd Gen - Direct control over TC shifting
Restarting the truck (Titan) always worked for me. Engage the transfer case before the ABS runs it's checks, once engaged it never kicked out.
New truck is manually shifted, no worries about electronics with this one.

I should start a trailer knowledge/information thread. I've researched it too many times and should put all the information in one place for myself and others to reference.Drizit wrote:My plan... Register it for a lower weight... I need to do lots and lots of research.

Re: Truck newbie has questions
Welcome to CNTC. Most of your questions should get answered by the Xterra owners so I'll stick to the generic stuff. Parking clearance, I was able to park my lifted Titan in every underground or multilevel parking lot I tried. My antennas did drag on the ceiling, which was a good warning for when it...

The Nissan part is readily available from the dealer and cheap. Just order it and pick it up the next day.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Dealer replaced tow mirrors and door lock switch. Items that didn't work when I picked it up. Sales made the commitment at the time and followed through when service told them both mirrors needed to be replaced, at >$800 a piece. 02 Sensor was also replaced, new parts warranty for the sensor install...
