Re: Sad, Regretful, Disappointing News

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I already placed my order with PRG yesterday. I want to get this fixed as fast a possible. Incognito27, took a look at the Ironman 4x4 web site and they don't appear to have a suspension kit like the one from PRG/Radflo but it appears you can buy shocks and struts ...

Re: NEW TIRE: BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A® KO2

I'm under no illusion that these tires are anywhere near as good at handling winter driving conditions as a dedicated winter tire but for those people who live in a jurisdiction that mandates a winter tire be used in winter, like Québec, these are an option for them. Also, for those of us who are ch...

Thanks Josh, I just checked mine and they do, in fact, carry the "severe snow" designation. I’ve updated the original post.

Re: View Topo Maps On Your iOS and Android Device (FREE)

UPDATE!

Android Devices:

Android Play Store.

PDF Maps is now available for Android devices. As with iOS devices it works best with devices that have an imbedded GPS chip which usually means all smartphones and some tablets. Check the specs of your device.

Gino, I'm surprised at your comment given that your couch is IN your kitchen, which is in your bedroom, which is in your office, which is all in your cave. :) Anyway, I went outside today…yes, it's been a while…and I saw my shadow so I think spring will be arriving late this year. :squeam: Just let...

Well Pezzy's getting really old now. It'll take her a few days or maybe weeks before she gets around to deleting this thread. She's not as sprightly as she used to be.

You should still have your charging system checked. If the alternator is not charging the battery properly you will end up with another dead battery eventually.

I think the new term being used now-a-days is “Hipster.”

WOW! $8500 USD is at least three times what I was expecting it to cost. Seems to be ideal for people with a small cars and big bank accounts.

Welcome to Canada and to CNTC. If you're free the Labour Day weekend I can't think of a better way to spend it than with us at our annual Adventure Weekend outing. You'll get to know a few trails within a short driving distance of where you plan to settle down and, best of all, you get to spend the ...

Re: OBDII Bluetooth w iPhone/Android/W8

So after some checking I found that if you want to go Bluetooth with iOS devices then this is the product to get. Although there are cheaper bluetooth modules many either don't work or are very flakey. I guess you get what you pay for. GoPoint BL1 ($99.95 USD) http://www.gopointtech.com/wp-content/u...

Re: OBDII Bluetooth w iPhone/Android/W8

I did a write-up about this topic a couple of years ago, although it was just about wired and wi-fi connectors not bluetooth ones. I don't know how much has changed since then but you could take a look and go from there.
