Re: Funniest email I've received in a long time.

I'm sorry but as the person who started this thread and a 'moderator' I must ask petespath and Nd4SpdSe to stop trying to change the topic of this thread from criticizing Dave (whoever you are) to a thread about meeting to go wheeling. STOP IT! Let's keep this thread on topic please. :teeth:

Re: Funniest email I've received in a long time.

Glad to know he got it fixed.

What I found funny about his message was that fact that it came across like he was addressing 'tech support' at Nissan and the form he used to send it. Very weird.

Hey, did we ever find out who this Doug guy is and did he ever figure out his 'bottoming-out' issue?

Re: School me on '05/'06 Xterras

As an owner of ’05 Xterra I can say without hesitation you will love this truck. If you can, buy the "Off-Road" edition. It comes with the extra toys needed if you want to go and play like the locking rear differential and full skid-plates (factory plates are weak but better than nothing a...

Re: Hi-Lift Roof Rack Mount?

You've found that just moving up to a 32" (it's only a 1/2" difference) up front prevents you from being able to have enough clearance to remove the tire?

Re: Hi-Lift Roof Rack Mount?

What about if you have extream articulation.Would the stock jack still work? I cover that in my original post. unless you've added long travel suspension up front Since the rear is lifted from underneath the axle it generally doesn't make a difference what you've done to the suspension. Of course c...

Re: Hi-Lift Roof Rack Mount?

In some cases the factory jack will not lift high enough once larger tires are installed. It has nothing to do with the lift(s) except for the fact that they are what allow for the larger tires. That's true but the tire would have to be at least 3-4" larger before it would render the factory j...

Re: Hi-Lift Roof Rack Mount?

Sorry Jay, I don't want you to think my comment was only directed to you. It's just that I'd heard that same sentiment from other people regarding the factory jack where they made a comment about having lifted their truck and now they couldn't use the factory jack anymore. I'm glad to know you still...

Re: Hi-Lift Roof Rack Mount?

First of all, I don't understand this belief people have that if they've lifted their trucks they can no longer use the factory jack to lift the truck and change a tire. The factory jack lifts the rear of the vehicle from a point below the axle which is the same height whether you've lifted the truc...

Sadly, I will be putting my truck up for sale.

It is with a heavy heart today I announce that I will be putting my truck up for sale. :disapprove: As someone who works from home the cost of maintaining the truck—fuel, insurance, maintenance—that mostly sits in the garage has become too unbearable so I will be selling it and renting ZIP Cars to g...

Re: Could you still pass your learner’s test?

19/20 and I got the one about the animal wrong as well. I think their answer is dubious. Most areas where you are likely to encounter an animal are on two lane highways/roads in the country and if you were to try and steer the vehicle in the hopes of hitting the animal at an angle the likely result ...
