Re: anybody in buffalo
Also, if you go over the rainbow bridge,(closest to CBI) expect to be pulled over and searched no matter what. Every time I've ever gone across there I've been searched even when I say i bought nothing but gas and give them the receipt. Peace Bridge on the other hand....... Wave me right thru almost...

Re: anybody in buffalo
Sorry for such a late reply. I've been fairly busy lately and haven't been on. I'll be heading down there in about a month or so. I'm on the hunt for a specific used bike but haven't been able to lock down a purchase yet. When that happens I'll be going to grab everything. I've also got a hardbody p...

Re: anybody in buffalo
Check out these guys. http://www.cbiusa.com
I use them all the time. In fact, have some stuff there now to pick up. They'll hold it all indefinitely so long as you call, free of charge. Great company.

Re: Good place to buy tires
I was just about to come back and delete everything I just typed after a cool down because I didn't want to seem like I'm anti Canadian when in fact I'm ultra pro Canadian. I'm sure my views won't jive with everyone and I didn't want to look like "that guy who sucks on the forum" But what ...

Re: Good place to buy tires
But remember if you go to the US you are making sure a Canadian company looses a sale. I could have saved $60 on my heavy duty steel rims going to the US and buying them, but I still went to National4WD in Smiths Falls anyways. It kept the money here in Canada. If you are saving a ton of money (lik...

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Id go the insurance route too man. I hear ya on being hit and run in the past, but this isn't about Karma anymore. Buddies illegally parked, and even though you own up to it, he's making it difficult for you to settle comfortably. I say F*** em and have his insurance cover it since he was illegally ...

Re: Block Heater/Coolant Heater
I'm just going from my own experience from using both in cold climates. My Wifes 2006 Tucson had a block heater and my 91 Pathy had a coolant style heater, Both on 2 seperate timers to go on 2-1/2 hours before we left in the morning. I'd get in, crank the heat and Voila.... Start defrosting the wind...

Re: Block Heater/Coolant Heater
A word about those pad versions, Be careful not to get one that gets too hot, I've heard a few horror stories about oil getting baked on the pan where its mounted and creating some clumpy sludge on the inside of the pan. Other then that though, they work GREAT for manuals as well. Hell you can get s...

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Well of course they did... They did that on purpose because they didn't want people to be able to steal it easily. DUH... This is probably not the case but I'll mention it anyway just because I feel like a post count for the day. :teeth: Not sure what the temps have been in Kingston, but I kn...

Re: Inner CV boots
I bought these boots for my 95 as well thanks to Fleury's hard work. I dealt with a dealer in Toronto named Cardanic Driveline. I told them the Boot numbers I required, he ordered them up, I paid for them via M/C and had some of my family in the area pick them up for me. Was a seemless transaction a...

Re: Mileage - Help, freaking out a little
My thoughts are to allow time to break in as well. Tire pressure is something to remember especially when winter weather rolls in the air pressure changes and you end up a bit low, but if the vehicle was only purchased last week, I'm sure a PDI was preformed and tire pressure would definitely be cov...
