Re: Alberta Bound!

I posted here, but it didn't save it... hmm.

Good to hear I should be getting 550ish highway. As long as it's not sucking fumes when I pull into town I'm happy lol.

What's your first vehicle?

What was your first car/truck?
Is there a story behind it?

Share!

My first car was supposed to be a 1995 Camaro in teal blue, but it was beyond repair so we sold it.
Ended up leasing a 2013 VW Jetta in Grey. Good car but boooooring! Gave it back and got my lovely Xterra :happydance:

Re: Alberta Bound!

Good luck with your trip and few years. I think you can get to Winipeg from Thunder bay in 8 hours. Yeah give or take, but with the fantastic mileage of my Xterra, I gotta stop at least every 400 kilometers lol. Plus my dog is coming, so he needs time to stretch his legs and relax a little bit too.

Re: Alberta Bound!

Definitely Snafu! CNTC overland trip, maybe? :P Yeah, each stop is about 3-4 hours driving, and never over 400kms. We'll be stopping for gas/food. For the longer stretches, I'll be bringing a 20L can of fuel just in case. After Winnipeg, the days get a little shorter, so it won't be so worrisome. I'...

Alberta Bound!

I'll be leaving Ontario next week for a few years at least... not by choice, but for work. On the brightside, roadtrip! I'm leaving from Angus, ON on the 23rd around 8 am, and taking 7 days to get to Cold Lake, AB. Anywhere you suggest I stop? Sights, food, souvenirs? Meetups for coffee maybe?! Day ...

Yay Sum-inter! I was driving with the windows down today. It was awesome.
Sorry for the sledders and shredders. It'll be a rough start to the season, but it'll hit sooner or later.

Welcome Yousef, like others have said, there's lots of meets and summer trail runs that go on with the club.

Have fun :)

Yeah, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.

Also just checked Walmart's website. They have Mobil 1 6 pack on for like $40 until tonight. Part of their Black Friday sale.
$50 order gets free shipping.

Re: Winter prep for your rig?

I put more gas in it and keep driving it :) I've got to call the dealer and see about my undercoat. I paid for it to be sprayed and chipped, but I'm not sure if it includes respraying it or what. Gotta find out. Being a 2015, there's very little maintenance that I have to do. I'm due for it's second...

Re: Cheers from Ottawa with my Nissan/Datsun "Safari"

Hey tomi, good to have you on the forum. Hope you enjoy your new ride, they're fun trucks! One thing I notice from your pic there... your lift gate seems to be sagging pretty low. There are replacement struts available, but I can't recall the manufacturer. McMaster... McSomething. Keep that in mind ...

incognito (Greg) may be interested... he has an S model with the C200k axle, and might be up for your offer if it's the M226.

I'll pm him in FB and let him know about it.

Re: Sad, Regretful, Disappointing News

I have the RF 2.0s in mine. Bought used with 12k on em from a TNX member in Calgary. They're great. Look into the "RadFlo clunk" you will most likely experience. The existing posts on other forums can explain it better than I can. It's really not THAT bad though... You'll hear it from time...

Re: Camping Thread

If you are into sledding then running up to Killarney is great! Miles and miles of nothing but trails...no houses, roads or gas stations (fill up wisely). The inn there was great with good food included in the room rental (at least for sledders). Killarney is just an amazing place in general. Even ...

Re: Camping Thread

Wish I saw this thread sooner. Killarney is my favourite spot in Ontario. I hiked the La Cloche trail in 5 days with a buddy of mine last September (2014). It's an AMAZING park. The views are spectacular. The trail has so many beautiful spots. Thunder boxes all through the trail, some where inhabite...
