I'd like to build my own sliders for the X. Not sure I have the time...

I'm sure you'll have time for most of January now... Getting material might be the harder part.

My brother and I just got this Frontier... Of course it'll now have to sit until this "lockdown" is over.

Oil cooler leak fixed. 1st major like problem with the jeep. Got a tune up also. Engine sounds better. Or maybe it’s just me.

They tend to sound better when they have oil :P

I got my light cage from P&P engineering, had to organize a group buy of 20 people to get them to produce it again. Took almost a year but the turnaround once they started production was only a few weeks.

Will look like this once I get it painted:

I'd get them sooner than later - global rubber shortage likely coming.

Most recently I had my transmission repaired. The part of the casing where the mount bolts to it had snapped off. The aluminum looked like cocaine all around it. Sourced a clean southern US part and dropped it off at a shop my friend recommended. They had to pull the t-case, driveshafts, etc. But they got it done and now my shifter doesn't wag all over the place. Next was alignment and new front tires.

Good lord you weren't kidding. I had to replace my front tires just before AW and it cost $400 PER TIRE for 33s. Cooper STT Pro. Paid almost half that the year before.

Been looking at these, as well as the Cooper Evolutions. How do you like them? Did you consider the Evolutions?

These ones? https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/tires/pd ... 7738p.html

I didn't get those because at the time my tire guy only had the STT Pro in stock. I had heard enough good reviews from others in this group as well as on some off road forums that I pulled the trigger on them. They are an amazing tire. What blew me away is I couldn't get up the V on concession lake at all with the duratracs or KM2 I had, but with this tires it made a massive difference in traction. They are a little loud but not any worse than my KM2 were. Would definitely recommend them.

Yeah, I don't really drive it so no point in paying for the driving part of it.

Replaced the steering box on the X. Wasn't too bad, I guess being covered in atf from leaking helped loosen things up. Discovered a seized caliper on the front drivers side, well one of the 2 pistons is. That'll be here tomorrow morning and now I'm doing pads and rotors since they only have a few mm left.
